As above I spotted a post on facebook looking for 5 anglers to give there gear a good testing.
I entered and thought no more about it. Then out of the blue I got an email saying I was 1 of the 5 that was picked.
I was delighted to say the least and I had a large choice of rigs to choose.
I picked tope traces, conger traces, smooth hound traces, flowing trace plaice rigs, jerk bait wire traces for pike and some standard wire pike traces.
My order went in and about 1 week later a bunch of stuff landed at my door.
Here was my first glimpse of what I won.
I was impressed already and I hadn't even open a box yet lol.
Of course I wasn't long doing that and here was the lot laid out in all it's glory.

First out of the box where the smooth hound rigs.
The smooth hound rig that I got has the extra strong 4/0 hook and has 110cm of 70lb mono with a zip sldier for your lead and then has 100cm of 40lb mono to the hook. Although the hook is the extra strong version it still has very nice point is very sharp, it should make hooking up an easier.
Next out was the de-tach snood complete [2 per pack] with again the extra strong hook 7/0 mounted on 75cm of 130lb wire, Look closely at the hooks they really do look the part.
This part of the de-tach range and I got them with the intention of just clipping them to my pulley rigs. So it should be a very easy rig change when needed.

Next out was the wish bone rig, 1 per pack.
It was a difficult rig to photograph but you can see the rig hopefully, It has a swivel in the middle of a bunch of very aluminous glow beads and each side runs down to a 2/0 hook . These are tied to the rig by 30cm of 30lb mono and the longer piece that is attached to it is100cm of 70lb mono. It also comes with a zip slider, so you ready to go. Just bait, lead and add it to your main line. It should be very effective.

Next was the flowing plaice rig.
This trace is 2x2/0 Aberdeen hooks tied to 20cm of 30lb mono and added to 145cm of 30lb mono.
There are a few beads above the hooks with a red spoon to attract them. Traditionally I would have used white spoons but after seeing plaice,dabs and flounders having a go at the red light on my gopro.

This is the conger rig, Its a sturdy 6/0 hook added 40cm of 130lb wire and attached to 120cm of 70lb mono. Like the other rigs it comes with 2 beads and a zip slider. They are very similar to what I would tie myself, so I am more than happy with them.

Last but definitely not least, This rig will get a hammering with me and I can't wait to use it.
The business end of this rig has again 7/0 hook attached to 40cm 100lb wire attached to 120cm of 70lb mono and also comes with a zip slider and 2 beads, so again it is ready to go.
Heres a close up pic of the 7/0 hook from the tope rig. It seemed small in the pack, as I near always fish 7/0 hooks for tope it seemed smaller than normal. So I was curious was it any smaller than normal. As you can see no its very similar. The hook on the bottom is what I normally use for tope with great success and the lynx one looks even sharper so I am expecting great things from these rigs.
So a big thanks to Lynx fishing for the fine selection of traces and I will be letting you all know how they fish and how strong they are. I am pretty sure they will live up to there reputation will be as strong or stronger than my own home tied rigs.
